Marathon of Madrid

Interview
Hello Laura, I have already run 3 marathons. The first one was in Brussels, the second one in Paris, and the last one was in Madrid.
The hardest one was the first one because I was not prepared at all. I thought that with my sportive background I could run a marathon without preparation but that was the worst mistake ever.

Because I like challenges and a marathon is a big challenge. I really liked the feeling after running my first marathon, that’s why I decided to run another one.
Yes, definitely. I was very well-prepared for the second one, which was in Paris. I think that preparation is 80% of the key to success.
For me a good preparation plan is to run four times a week, eat well and rest well because it takes a lot of energy to complete the preparation. For example, in one week, I recommend running twice slowly but long distances, another run faster than the actual pace you will run in the marathon, and the last run on a street with hills to prepare your heartbeat.
For first-time marathon runners, I recommend running one where the route is flat and having good marathon shoes. Go to a good store with a lot of options for shoes, clothes, and nutritions, and test them before the race.
